BREAKING: Gov Yusuf Commissions Streetlights, Road Projects In Ganduje’s Hometown

The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has inaugurated 231 units of streetlights including a five-kilometre road project in the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area, the hometown of his predecessor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

The governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, disclosed this via a statement made available to Naija News on Tuesday.

Yusuf stated that “The streetlight and road projects are part of his administration’s commitment to providing essential amenities for the good people of Kano State.”

He therefore urged residents of Dawakin Tofa to make good use of the new facilities and remain vigilant to protect them from vandalism.

In his remarks at the inauguration, the Chairman, Dawakin Tofa LG, Anas Danmaliki, represented by his deputy, Abdullahi Aliyu, commended Yusuf for completing the project.

He highlighted the transformative impact of the streetlights, noting that “They will enhance safety as well as boost economic activities, and improve the quality of life in the area.”

Also, Magaji appealed to the governor to consider reopening the Entrepreneurship Institute in Dawakin Tofa, which was shut down by the Ganduje administration.

He stressed that reviving the institution would equip the youths with valuable skills for self-reliance and economic growth.
