Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has sent a letter to the Kano State House of Assembly seeking amendments to the 2024 budget to bridge the gap of over N66 billion.
Reading the letter, the Speaker of the House, Jibril Isma’il Falgore, said they would do their utmost to amend the bill.
However, in a statement to newsmen, the Majority Leader of the House, Lawan Hussaini Dala, said the House would expedite the amendment of the budget for the outgoing year to bridge the gap.
Dala also gave details of the names of the people Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had sent to the House to oversee the running of the state Zakat and Hubsi Commission and the Sharia Commission.
