BREAKING: Governor Fubara Reacts to APC Allegations, Reveals His Party Affiliation

Rivers State Governor Siminialayi Fubara has responded to allegations made by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Chief Tony Okocha.

Mr Okocha had accused Governor Fubara of interfering with the affairs of the APC in the state, specifically claiming that the governor was sponsoring court cases against the party.

Chief Okocha also questioned why Governor Fubara would not use his influence to impact his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), rather than meddling with the APC. He further stated that Governor Fubara is not a member of any political party, and that the PDP would not present him as a candidate in any election.

He said, “I pray for him (Fubara) that he changes his style, otherwise, the wrath of God might descend.

“All this bragado he is navigating around APC, he would have used it to register himself. I thought he would have used all his powers as governor, all this influence to put himself back into the PDP. He is not a member of any political party.

“I can tell you if there is any election in the state he has no party because the party that would have sponsored him for the election, that is the PDP will never present him because he is not their member. Now he is in the business of trying to divide and rule and make a mess of the entire judiciary.”

However, the Special Adviser to Governor Fubara on Electronic Media, Mr. Jerry Omatsogunwa, has dismissed these allegations.

According to Omatsogunwa, Governor Fubara is too busy to interfere with the APC’s affairs and cannot influence the judiciary against the party.

Omatsogunwa also clarified Governor Fubara’s party affiliation, stating that he is a member of the PDP and an active member of the PDP Governors’ Forum.
