Naija News reported that the Oyo State Governor on Saturday during an online interactive session, across his social media handles, with state residents, said he would not award any new contract in the 2025 fiscal year.

He promised that his administration would not leave any project unfinished.

“No project will be abandoned by our administration. I’m pushing the Olodo Bridge project to reopen the second lane by March 2025. Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho is already at Ogbooro. BCJ-NIHORT and Wire and Cable, we will surely complete before this tenure ends.

“I have a few major projects which if completed, I will commission. After that, commissioning will have to be done by the Commissioner for Public Works and Transport and maybe the Deputy Governor, if he wants. I don’t plan to award any contracts after 2025, it will just be consolidation,” he stated.
