BREAKING: Group Urges Akpabio To Break Silence On Sandra Duru

A South-West group, Afenifere Youth Stakeholders Forum has asked the Senate President, Godswill Akpabip to break his silence on his alleged connection with United Kingdom-based activist, Dr Sandra Duru.
Sandra, popularly known as Prof Mgbeke has been in the news after she claimed that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan allegedly attempted to induce her with N200 million to falsely accuse former Akwa Ibom governor and now Senate President, Godswill Akpabio of organ harvesting.
In the live video, she had also denied ever coming in contact with Senator Akpabio or holding any discussion with him.
However, netizens later dug out a part of the video, which they alleged showed a phone call log involving Sandra and the Senate President.
In a reaction to the controversy, the Yoruba group in a statement signed by Kehinde Olatunde, National President, Bukola Esther, Secretary General and Duke Abimbola Publicity Secretary, said it was time the Senate President spoke on such an allegation.
While expressing worry over the allegations, they stated that “we have waited for days expecting the office of the Senate President to speak out on his alleged conversation with Sandra Duru but that has not happened.
“This is a worrisome situation considering the international dimension this matter has since assumed.
“There have been claims that Duru is a serial blackmailer, and we expect the Senate President to clear every doubt that he has nothing to do with such a person.
“Nigerians would wish to know the truth about the call log, which was allegedly mistakenly projected during the live video session.”
The youth group equally called on security agencies to beam their searchlight on Duru to investigate claims in several quarters that she was hiding under activism to defame and blackmail people.
