Kano was thrown into shock on Sunday morning following report by family member that a yet to be identified gunmen shot to death , the village Head of Maigari, Alhaji Dahiru Abba.
The deceased was the biological father of the current Chairman of Rimin Gado local government area of Kano state, Munir Dahiru Maigari Esq
A family member, Alhaji Sanusi Abbas told Reporters in Kano late Maigari died after “some unidentified gunmen stormed his residence in the early hours of Sunday, inflicted various degree of injuries on his body and shot him dead.”
Sanusi Abbas, who is the Permanent Secretary, Judiciary in Kano State revealed that barring any last minute change the burial ceremony will be conducted today at his residence by 10am in Maigari Village of Rimin Gado LGA, Kano State.
As at press time, police authorities in Kano are keeping sealed lips over the development coming barely a week to the Governorship, and state Assembly’s elections
SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Kano police Command spokesman, failed to respond to his calls, and the SMS sent his known GSM line.
