BREAKING: ‘He stands as reference for good leadership’, Jonathan eulogises late Yar’Adua

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has described his predecessor, the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua as a great reference for good and impactful leadership.

This description of the late former president comes as Jonathan joined Nigerians to celebrate the life of Yar’Adua who died 15 years ago.

In a post made on his Facebook page, Jonathan said he shared a common vision for a united Nigeria with the late former president.

In the post titled, ‘In memory of President Umaru Musa Yar’Asua: 15 years after’, Jonathan said Nigeria lost a patriot and servant leader.

According to him, Yar’Adua’s life was a selfless one with a great account of leadership guided by hard work, patriotism, accountability, commitment to justice and adherence to the rule of law.

He said the late former president carried a burden of uniting people and building a nation where justice, progress and peace dwell.

“His tenure, although short, was impactful and progressive, a moment we remember for selfless service and deep commitment to the public good.

“Fifteen years after his passing, he continues to stand as a reference for good leadership and a legacy of impact, peace and accountability.

“Today, I celebrate my friend, brother and boss for his exemplary and sacrificial life of service, his genuine efforts in nation-building, and his dedication to fostering an inclusive democracy anchored on justice, equity and national unity,” Jonathan wrote.
