Some youths in Abuja have taken to the streets of the nation’s capital city to demand the immediate release of Martins Otse, an activist and social media influencer.
Otse was said to have been arrested after he visited a Guarantee Trust Bank branch in Abuja with his mother to make demands on the former’s account with the bank.
While details of his arrest are still sketchy, the youths took to the streets to call for his release.
The protesting youths in their numbers chanted, “He’s not a thief, Now VDM has blocked the road, Release VDM.”
They also carried placards with various inscriptions on the junction leading to the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Jabi Abuja.
