The Katsina State Hisbah Board has banned all nightclub activities across the state, citing Islamic principles and the need to uphold moral values.
Hisbah Commander-General, Aminu Usman (Abu Ammar), made the announcement in a statement issued in Katsina on Wednesday, ordering nightclub owners to shut down operations immediately.
“This decision is aimed at curbing immoral practices, protecting societal values, and addressing security concerns in the state,” Usman stated.
The board warned violators of strict penalties, stressing that security agencies have been directed to ensure full compliance with the order.
“We are committed to building a morally upright society and ensuring peace and security in Katsina State,” he added.
Hisbah also confirmed that the state Commissioner for Internal Security has been informed to enforce the directive effectively as part of broader efforts to maintain religious and moral standards in the state.
