On January 9, 2024, 35 years old Hadijat Sulaimon came back from work around 9am(she worked as a security guard at Canaan land) when a phone call entered. She said ‘I am coming’ to the caller. She then told her sister who they lived together that she was going to Atan.
Since then her phones have been switched off. The family members went to the police station to track the number that called her. After they got the number, they discovered that one Azeez was the owner.
They began to check who Azeez used to call frequently and they got the number. It was for a babalawo.
The babalawo was traced and arrested but Azeez had absconded. He initially denied but after several torture, he confessed that Azeez brought Hadijat to him.
When they got to the babalawo’s house for investigation, they found a very big pit where human parts were stored. He showed them the remains of Hadijat’s body parts but her head has been sold out. Her aged mother has been inconsolably in tears.
