BREAKING: I think Gov Fubara should stop grandstanding, he is like a general without troop — Jide Ojo

Jide Ojo had said, “I think Governor Fubara should stop grandstanding, he does not have — he is like a General without troop. And when I say without troop, it is not like the Ijaw people or the Rivers people are not behind him, but I am talking metaphorically and politically; how can you watch and 27 out of 31 members of your party are able to hold you to ransom to the point of impeachment threats? What, how many times has he met with these lawmakers since they were inaugurated? They complained that their dues, money due to them has not been given to them; it is an independent arm of government.”

Mr. Ojo, who spoke during an interview on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme, said Governor Fubara did not extend the hand of friendship to the Members of Rivers State House of Assembly. He added that things might have been different if the Governor had listened to the lawmakers.
