Two years ago, Elijah Anuoluwapo Adebayo was far removed from the spotlight of the Premier League.
Back then, he was grinding in League Two, proving his worth.
But fast forward to today, the 25-year-old striker is not only plying his trade in the top tier with Luton Town, but he’s also become a potent goalscorer, already netting an impressive 9 goals this season.
His recent hat-trick, the first for a Luton player in the Premier League, cemented his rise to the top and fueled even bigger aspirations.
Adebayo has set his sights on representing the Super Eagles of Nigeria, driven by a heartfelt desire to make his mother proud.
“I would like to represent Nigeria to make my mother proud, that would make my mother happy”, said Elijah.
The chance to wear the green and white of Nigeria could be the ultimate reward for Elijah’s hard work through the years, not just for him, but also for the mother who has possibly been his unwavering support system.
