Ayo Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, has posed some rhetorical questions on other candidates running in the 2023 elections, speculating on whether or not they might have changed the country’s economic dynamics if elected president. He argued that rather than seeing government policies as a harmful undertaking, they should be seen as a positive means of creating the nation. He asserted that President Tinubu is actively carrying out the duties expected of a president and that he must meet the obligations of the office.
He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”It’s only God that knows the best in the context of democracy. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinububwon an election and he must act in the office of a President and he is acting in the office of President. If any of these candidates had become President of Nigeria, would they be printing dollar? Will they change the attitude of Nigerians overnight? This is a process of building and not a process of breaking down.”
