Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, has reaffirmed his determination to lead the state without fear, stating that he is unafraid of any consequences, including leaving office if necessary.
Fubara made the bold statement on Monday during the commissioning of the newly built Government House Staff Quarters in Port Harcourt. Addressing the gathering, he said:
“Inasmuch as I don’t subscribe to violence, when the time comes for us to make a decision, I will lead the course for that decision. I’m not scared of anything; the worst that can happen is me to leave the office.”
His remarks come amid the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, where tensions have persisted between the governor and certain political stakeholders.
