BREAKING: Jega, a Fulani man said what we see during Buhari administration is not what they see in North – According to Bode

Chief Bode George, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said that Attahiru Jega, a Fulani man and former INEC professor, had stated that what people see in the North is different from what they see under the Buhari administration. He believes that the views of individuals in the North and the South about the state of the nation differ. He is in favor of reorganizing the nation, arguing that the states ought to have more authority and that the current constitution is unduly centralised. In addition, he stated that governors ought to answer to the people they represent and face consequences for their actions.

Chief Bode George said this while speaking in an interview on Channels TV.

He said, “The former INEC professor, Attahiru Jega said for the first time, a Fulani man saying what we see in this country during the Buhari administration, our colleagues in the North are not seeing it that way. But we must restructure this country. The constitution we are running is completely military. How do you now sustain just one man in Abuja to be controlling all the corners of Nigeria? It’s rather impossible. Every month, every state heads to Abuja to go and chop all the money there and then come back home. Devolve power to the states. Let the people feel that this governor that we have if you don’t perform, you are at our call and beg”.
