
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Jigawa State Command, and the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board have initiated a collaborative framework to foster a stronger working relationship.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Habibu Yusuf Babura, said this initiative was unveiled during a familiarisation visit by the State Controller of Immigration, Tahir Abdullahi Musa, to the Pilgrims Board office in Dutse.
The partnership aims to enhance coordination between the two agencies, ensuring swift and efficient responses, particularly in preparation for the upcoming Hajj exercise. As part of the agreement, the Immigration Service will facilitate the timely issuance of international passports to intending pilgrims.
In his remarks, the Director General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahamed Umar Labbo, expressed gratitude for the visit and reaffirmed the board’s commitment to working closely with the NIS. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in addressing emergency situations and streamlining operations for a smooth pilgrimage process.
