BREAKING: Jigawa to feed 171,900 daily for Ramdan – Gov Namadi

The Jigawa government promised to feed 171,900 people every day during Ramadan.

At the flag-off of the palliative care distribution to Dutse, Jigawa, residents on Friday, Governor Umar Namadi stated that the state aimed to feed 5,157,000 people during Ramadan.

He stated that the program had two centers established by the state in each electoral ward and that each center was expected to feed at least 300 people every day, for a daily total of 171,900 in 573 centers.

The governor added that thousands of households were being included in the feeding program and that the initiative went beyond simply providing food for the general public at the public centers.

According to Namadi, the feeding program was started to assist the underprivileged during the fasting period.

Additionally, the governor committed to helping President Bola Tinibu fulfill his promise to the people of Jigawa regarding another round of palliatives.

As a result, he assured the state’s populace of his administration’s dedication to providing for them, particularly in light of the current hardships facing the nation.

Prior to this, Auwalu Sankara, the state commissioner for special duties, announced that 150,000 households would receive 100,000 spaghetti cartoons, 150,000 bags of 25 kg of maize, and 150,000 bags of rice.

According to Sankara, the state government has allocated funds for 700,000 beneficiaries, with five individuals per household expected to receive benefits across the state’s 27 Local Government Areas.
