BREAKING: Kano Government Reacts as Commissioner Resigns

The Kano State Government has reacted to the resignation of Major General Muhammad Idris (retd.), the Commissioner for Internal Security and Special Services.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Governor Abba Yusuf has accepted the resignation and expressed appreciation for the retired general’s contributions during his short time in office.
In a statement on Tuesday, the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, acknowledged Idris’ efforts in setting up the newly created ministry and wished him well in his future endeavours.
Governor Yusuf described Idris as a committed public servant and a patriotic Nigerian.
“We thank Major General Muhammad Inuwa Idris (Rtd) for his unwavering commitment and contributions to the development of Kano State right from his days in the military career. We wish him a peaceful and fulfilling retirement as he transitions into a well-deserved rest from public service,” the governor said.
No official reason has been given for the resignation.
