BREAKING: Katsina Governor Condemns Killings Of Northerners in Edo

Katsina State Governor and the Chairman of Northwest Governors Forum, Malam Dikko Radda, has condemned in strong terms, the recent brutal killings of several northerners in Uromi, Esan North-East Local Government Area of Edo State.

In his statement, Radda described the attack as “heinous, barbaric and a threat to our national unity.”

The governor also stressed that such violence has no place in a democratic society built on the principles of peace, unity, and mutual respect among all citizens regardless of ethnic background.

Radda extended condolences to the families of the victims, assuring them that the government stands with them in this difficult time.

“The pain of losing loved ones in such a gruesome manner is immeasurable. On behalf of the good people of Katsina State and the Northwest Governors Forum, I offer our deepest sympathies and prayers,” Governor Radda stated.

In a similar vein, the Governor commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his swift response in establishing a special investigative team to probe the incident.

Governor Radda equally extolled Governor Monday Okpebholo for his proactive measure towards receding the crisis and instilling peace.

“We have full confidence that the perpetrators will be apprehended and made to face the full wrath of the law,” the governor added.

Radda further assured all ethnic groups residing and conducting businesses in Katsina State of their safety and security.

“Katsina State remains a home of hospitality to all Nigerians. Our administration is committed to protecting the lives and properties of everyone residing within our borders, irrespective of their ethnic, religious, or political affiliations,” he emphasized.

The governor called on all Nigerians to remain calm and eschew any form of reprisal attacks, noting that violence only begets more violence.
