The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has reacted o his party’s victory in the 2023 governorship election in Kano State.
Naija News recalls the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Abba Kabir Yusuf, has been declared the winner of the Kano state governorship election.
Yusuf defeated all other candidates including the incumbent deputy governor, Nasiru Gawuna who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the election.
The results announced by the returning officer in Kano, Ahmad Dokko Ibrahim are displayed below.
NNPP: 1,019,602
APC: 890,705
PDP: 15,957
LP: 5,409
Following the declaration, there has been wild jubilation on the streets of Kano despite the curfew imposed by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje to forestall the breakdown of law and order.
Taking to his verified Twitter handle on Monday morning, Kwankwaso has also reacted to the NNPP victory in Kano.
