A meeting involving key stakeholders in the Lagos State House of Assembly leadership crisis is currently underway, fuelling speculations that the protracted dispute may be nearing its end.

Mudashiru Obasa, Mojisola Meranda, and other lawmakers attended the meeting, which is being held outside the assembly chambers.

According to eyewitnesses, the meeting commenced ahead of a plenary session earlier scheduled for 1 pm.

In attendance are leaders of the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, including Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi, and the state Attorney General, Lawal Pedro (SAN).

The gathering has sparked intense speculation, with unconfirmed reports suggesting that Meranda may be poised to resign her position as Speaker.

Obasa arrived at the meeting venue around 1:30 pm, joining the lawmakers and other stakeholders under a tent.

Obasa, Meranda, Ojelabi, and the Attorney General subsequently broke away from the main meeting to convene a separate, closed-door discussion.
