However, Bruno Fernandes levelled the score in the 88th minute with a calm penalty, igniting enthusiasm among the United players. The penalty was granted after United applied relentless pressure in the final moments of the match.
Merely two minutes later, Amad Diallo completed the turnaround by scoring in the 90th minute, assisted by Lisandro Martínez.
Diallo’s goal quieted the City supporters and ensured a vital three points for United.
