BREAKING: Manchester United Open Investigation Into Dressing Room Leak as Two Players Questioned

Manchester United have reportedly opened an investigation into the source of a leak inside the dressing room in the wake of the growing scandal at Old Trafford.

The starting XI that faced Manchester City on Sunday evening was leaked as early as Saturday evening.

To the surprise of many, the leaked XI turned out to be the exact one Ruben Amorim named for the short trip to the Etihad. Apart from the leak, the major news was the omissions of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, who were dumped entirely despite being 100% fit.

Ruben Amorim addresses Manchester United leak

Speaking after the incredible comeback, Amorim addressed the leak, claiming that it was almost impossible to stop it. The 39-year-old even joked about his next XI.

“I know that story. I don’t know; I think it’s impossible to fix nowadays because you have a lot of people in the club, and the players talk with agents. I don’t know, you can talk with friends, so it’s hard to know. It’s not a good thing, but let’s move on and go to the next one and see if they find the next starting XI,” he said via MEN.

Two players cleared by Amorim

The Sun now reports that the club has begun investigations with Amorim talking to Garnacho and the derby’s star Amad Diallo. The report indicates that the head coach is ‘satisfied’ that the two are not the sources of the leaks.

Garnacho’s brother Roberto has in the past been accused of being the leak, an accusation he denied last week.

Rashford speaks after being dropped

Legit.ng has reported that Rashford joined Man United’s victory celebrations despite being dropped for the big derby tie against Manchester City on Sunday by Amorim.

Amad Diallo turned up for the Red Devils in Rashford’s absence, producing the two key moments as Man United fought from a goal down to win 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
