The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has hailed President Bola Tinubu for his economic reforms in the year 2024.
Speaker Abbas said while Nigerians experienced hardship at the beginning of 2024, by the end of the year there was prosperity, reducing hardship.
He stated this on Wednesday, while he led principal officers of the House to pay New Year’s Day homage to the President, at his Ikoyi residence, in Lagos State.
Abbas further commended the President for uniting the National Assembly and being a partner to the 10th NASS.
He lauded Tinubu’s effort to bring succour to the citizens. He said he believed more prosperity would be in the nation in the year 2025.
“To God be the glory, Mr. President, the National Assembly today is more united than ever before. The National Assembly is more fulfilled than ever before.
“I also want to appreciate you, Mr. President, for bringing more succour to the poor. Nigerians, at the beginning of the year, had more challenges in life, but as the year started coming to an end, more succour, more food, more prosperity started pouring in.
“We believe 2025 will be the ultimate year, where every Nigerian will be proud of this administration, because food, security, prosperity will increase significantly in Nigeria.
“I would also want to commend you for being a partner to the National Assembly. Every senator, every member of the Assembly, from the day you laid your budget, is full of praises for you,” Abbas said.
