The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has reassured residents of the state that the legislature remains committed to passing bills that will facilitate more developmental projects.
Jatau made this statement when a delegation from the Eggon community in Ekye Development Area paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Lafia on Wednesday.
He urged the Eggon people and all citizens of Nasarawa to continue supporting and praying for Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration, stating that their collective backing would help deliver more democratic benefits.
“Governor Sule cannot achieve his goals alone; he needs our full support and cooperation,” Jatau stated.
“Let us continue to pray for him and give him the backing required to succeed. I also assure you that the House of Assembly remains committed to passing legislation that will accelerate the development of our state.”
The Speaker further encouraged the people to support their representative, Hon. Musa Ibrahim of Doma South Constituency, in his bid for continued service beyond 2027.
In their remarks, Hon. Esson Mairiga of Lafia North Constituency and Hon. John Dizaho of Karu/Gitata Constituency commended Ibrahim for his inclusive leadership style.
Ibrahim, in response, expressed gratitude to the Eggon community for their support and vowed to continue providing quality representation in the state legislature.
Earlier, Bitrus Amos, Chairman of the Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA) in Ekye Development Area, spoke on behalf of the delegation. He praised the Speaker’s efforts in collaborating effectively with the executive branch to drive development in the state.
Amos thanked Ibrahim for his contributions, including the construction of bridges and the distribution of motorcycles to residents. He also appealed to Jatau to use his influence to ensure the inclusion of their area in the planned creation of new chiefdoms in Nasarawa State.
