BREAKING: National Assembly Approves N54.9 Trillion 2025 Budget, Raises Estimates By N719 Billion

The House of Representatives has approved a budget of N54.9 trillion for the 2025 fiscal year, reflecting an increase of N719 billion from the initial estimates.

The decision was made on Thursday following the presentation of a report by Abubakar Bichi, chairman of the committee on appropriation.

The budget bill was also passed by the Senate, marking a crucial step in the country’s financial planning for the upcoming year. With the legislature’s approval, the appropriation bill now awaits further processes, including presidential assent, before implementation.
