The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Bayelsa State Chapter, has congratulated Comrade John Angese for a well-deserved victory in the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Bayelsa State Chapter election.
In a statement, NAWOJ Chairperson, Mrs. Grace Orumieyefa and Assistant Secretary, Miss. Eyal Ikisikpo, particularly, expressed satisfaction over the election of John Angese as the NLC State Secretary, having been a former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bayelsa State Council; National Board of Trustee, South-South Zone F; and the current Secretary, South-South Zone F.
Mrs. Orumieyefa said Angese possesses the qualities required to be at the NLC Executives with the wealth of experience gathered in the various offices held and with much impact made within the period of his different positions in the NUJ.
Orumieyefa, while wishing Angese a fruitful tenure, expresses confidence that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new capacity as Secretary of the NLC in the State.
NAWOJ Chairperson, who noted that NAWOJIANS in the state are happy about the choice of Angese as the secretary, NLC Council in the state, urged the elected officers of the Council to work in synergy with other members in the discharge of their duties, to usher in a vibrant and resource-oriented NLC in the state.
She prayed to Almighty God to grant the new executive wisdom, guidance and protection in the discharge of their responsibilities.
