The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has dismissed recent online reports accusing the organization of financial misconduct.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Board described the allegations as completely false, malicious, and intended to damage its reputation.
It believes these claims are part of a deliberate effort to distract the organization from fulfilling its duties.
The NCDMB spoke on its commitment to transparency, professionalism, and integrity.
The Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Ogbe, remains focused on supporting President Bola Tinubu’s vision for strengthening local content in the oil and gas sector.
This includes integrating host communities into industry operations, promoting local business participation, and ensuring compliance with local content policies under the “Renewed Hope Agenda.”
The statement stated that the NCDMB is achieving notable progress under Engr. Ogbe’s leadership and will continue to ensure due process and accountability in all its operations.
Furthermore, the Board clarified that the allegations against the Executive Secretary were baseless and appeared to be part of a targeted attempt to tarnish his image.
Despite issuing a formal rebuttal earlier, certain online platforms continue to link Engr. Ogbe to non-existent infractions, suggesting a deliberate smear campaign.
The NCDMB urged the public to ignore these false reports and warned against individuals spreading misleading information.
It assured Nigerians that the Executive Secretary remains dedicated to serving the nation’s oil and gas sector with honesty and diligence.
