Former senator and human rights activist, Shehu Sani , has urged the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to investigate the allegation of usage of charm by the goalkeeper of the Ivory Coast national team, Yahia Fofana in the just concluded African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Sani warned that failure to do so by FIFA will result into Nigeria going to the football matches with their native doctors.
“FIFA should investigate the alleged use of Juju by the Ivory Coast Goalkeeper as circulated in the images and take measures. If FIFA failed to do so, next time we should go with the crew of our native Doctors,” the Senator wrote on X.
In a viral video circulating on social media shows something looking fetish, a black material was noticed around the waist of Ivorian goalkeeper, Yahia Fofana, secured with a white rope while playing in one of the matches.”
In the just-concluded the final of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2023, Ivory Coast beat Nigeria 2-1 to win the cup.
