Following her presentation by President José Ramos-Horta of Timor Leste with the country’s second-highest honor, the Collar of the Order of Timor Leste, at an event held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, responded.
Former Federal Republic of Nigeria Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is a native of Delta State.
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala stated on his verified Twitter page; “Honored to be decorated with the second highest honor of Timor Leste – the Collar of the Order of Timor Leste by H.E President @JoseRamosHorta1 at a lovely ceremony in Abu Dhabi on the sidelines of MC13. In the presence of a delegation of Timor Leste Parliamentarians and Ministers. Including H.E Fernanda Lay, Speaker of the Parliament.”
