The Nigerian equities market sustained the bullish run as investors gained ₦483 billion at the close of trading on Wednesday.
This followed a surge in the share prices of stocks like SCOA, OMATEK, and UNIVERSAL INSURANCE amongst others on the trading floor.
After five hours of trading at the capital market, the equity capitalization rose to ₦63.3 trillion from ₦62.8 trillion posted by the bourse on Monday.
The benchmark All-Share Index (ASI) increased to 103,157.20 points from the 102,370.62 points which was recorded the previous day.
The market breadth was positive as 25 stocks advanced and 24 stocks declined, while 63 stocks remained unchanged in 12,672 deals.
SCOA, OMATEK, and UNIVERSAL INSURANCE led other gainers with 9.93%, 9.88% and 8.70% growth each in prices to close at N2.99, N0.89 and N0.75 from the previous N2.72, N0.81 and N0.69 per share.
NSL TECH, ABBEYBDS, and SUNU ASSURANCE led other price decliners with 9.88%, 9.09%, and 8.21% dip in share prices to close at N0.73, N3.30 and N6.15 from the previous N0.81, N3.63 and N6.70 per share.
On the volume index, LASACO led trading with 108 million shares in 54 deals followed by UNIVERSAL INSURANCE which traded 22 million shares in 172 deals.
AIICO traded 21 million shares in 250 deals.
On the value index, OANDO traded stocks worth N496 million in 678 deals followed by ARADEL which traded equities worth N468 million in 421 deals.
LASACO traded shares valued at N338 million in 54 deals.
