The Nigerian bowlers and fielders worked in tandem to dismiss New Zealand’s batters, with a critical first-ball run-out of Kate Irwin and early wickets ensuring Nigeria stayed in the game.

This win marks Nigeria’s first completed game in their U19 Women’s World Cup debut, as their previous match was washed out due to rain.
