BREAKING: NNPP will defeat APC, PDP in a free and fair election – Kwankwaso

Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano State, has expressed strong confidence that the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) will defeat all other political parties in a free and fair election.

Speaking at the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Thursday, Kwankwaso criticized the current administration under President Bola Tinubu, stating that Nigerians are facing extreme hardship.

“It is very difficult to remember anybody happy with the government of APC at all levels, especially at the national level,” he said.

“Nigerians have witnessed the difficulties that we have never seen in the history of this country. Poverty is everywhere. We have seen insecurity, the infrastructure is decaying, and we have not seen any efforts to renew them and so on.

“I believe if there is a free and fair election in this country, our party will defeat the APC, PDP, and other parties in this country.”

The NNPP National Chairman, Ajuji Ahmed, urged party members to remain united as they prepare for the 2027 elections.

“I, therefore, call on our leadership at all levels — national, state, local government, and ward — to please brace up and confront these challenges, particularly to ignore the recent chariot that claims to establish a parallel leadership in Apapa, Lagos,” he said.

“The questionable paper they have been brandishing like a weapon of mass destruction is nothing other than what it is: A paper. We will soon tear that paper apart.

“Let us stand together as a party, move together as a party, act together as a unified whole, with one destiny.

“That is the destiny to become the ruling party come 2027. It is definitely going to be a tough journey. However, no journey is worthy and is worth undertaking if it is not tough.”

Ahmed reaffirmed the NNPP’s commitment to “lifting Nigeria out of its current state” and building a nation that all citizens would be proud of.
