The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, has assured Corps Members that the payment of their new monthly allowance of N77,000 is set to begin soon.
This announcement was made on the NYSC’s official Facebook page on Tuesday.
Brigadier General Ahmed revealed the news while commissioning a 32-seater bus, donated by Capital Express Insurance Company to the NYSC.
He explained that the bus will significantly alleviate transportation challenges faced by Corps Members and some NYSC staff in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The NYSC leader, who underscored his administration’s commitment to enhancing Corps Members’ welfare, confirmed that final arrangements for the disbursement of the new allowance have been completed.
Additionally, the Director General expressed his gratitude to Capital Express Insurance for their generous contribution to the NYSC.
In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of Capital Express Insurance Company, Mr. Matthew Ogwezhi, highlighted the longstanding partnership between his company and the NYSC, indicating that the donation is a testament to this collaboration in support of the Scheme.
He also pledged that Capital Express Insurance would explore further avenues of assistance to the NYSC in 2025.
