Mudashiru Obasa has been reinstated as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, following the resignation of Mojisola Meranda.
Meranda stepped down as Speaker with immediate effect on Monday, paving the way for Obasa’s return.
Also, Meranda has been re-elected as the Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly. Meranda, who accepted the role, pledged to serve the state in good faith. “I accept this role and pledge to serve the state in good faith,” Meranda said.
