Former Senator Olusegun Obasanjo served the country for eight excellent years without ever being known to travel to a European nation for medical treatment, according to Senator Shehu Sani, a former senator who represented the good people of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone.
Speaking further, Shehu Sani mentioned that Obasanjo served as Nigeria’s president for 17 years and that he is still able to write letters, play football, and dance. He also mentioned that Obasanjo had survived the civil war, jail, and the presidency.
Senator Shehu Sani made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Tuesday afternoon, while celebrating former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s 87th birthday.
Furthermore, Senator Shehu Sani disclosed that he was Obasanjo’s senior in Kiri Kiri maximum security prison, in the year 1995, when they were charged for treason and sentenced to life imprisonment and later reduced it to 15 years, by the Abacha military tribunal. He also noted that despite all these, Obasanjo remains strong as old soldier.
