A former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ambassador Adejare Bello, has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for his developmental strides across the state.
Speaking on political issue, on Sunday, the immediate past Ambassador to Mexico stressed that political differences should not overshadow the truth about Governor Adeleke’s achievements.
“Everywhere I have visited, including Ede and Osogbo where I live, it is evident that Governor Adeleke is delivering. The funds he receives are substantial, making it impossible for any leader not to perform,” he stated.
He further emphasized that while opinions may vary on the extent of the governor’s performance, anyone who outrightly claims that Governor Adeleke has done nothing should be called a liar, regardless of their political affiliation.
While not dismissing the APC’s chances of reclaiming power in 2026, Bello remarked:
“The governor is doing his best, but leadership is dynamic. We do not yet know what the next person after him will bring to the table.”
He also urged Nigerians to support their leaders with prayers, warning that cursing leaders could have unintended consequences on the people themselves.
Ambassador Bello, an Ede-born grassroots politician who served four consecutive terms in the state assembly, acknowledged that Governor Adeleke’s progress has been significant, largely due to the substantial federal allocations from the APC-led federal government.
Notably, Ambassador Adejare Bello’s remarks mark a rare moment of bipartisan acknowledgment, reinforcing Governor Adeleke’s impact while maintaining his party’s optimism for the next election cycle.
