Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti has commiserated with the leadership of the State Joint Security Command over the unfortunate motor accident involving personnel of the State Joint Security Taskforce (Operation Crush) on Sunday 30th March 2025, at Isieke along the Umuahia-Bende road which resulted in the death of a member of the team while others sustained various degrees of injury.
In a statement on Monday signed by Ferdinand Ekeoma, Special Adviser to the Governor, disclosed that the government had taken the surviving victims to the nearest hospital, and they are now receiving treatment.
He informed that Governor Otti expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident and regretted that a life was lost.
The statement further explained that while the Governor condoled with the Joint security Command and the family of the deceased Officer, assured that his government would ensure that the injured ones receive the best of medical attention to ensure they recuperate as quickly as possible.
The Governor also noted that the Joint Security Taskforce (Operation Crush) has been doing a wonderful job in securing the state against criminals and assured that his government will continue to give them the necessary support required to ensure they sustain the tempo.
