BREAKING: Panic strikes again in Ondo as gunmen abduct popular farmer

Gunmen have again struck in Ala Elofosan community in the Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State, where a popular farm owner, Wale Daisy Oluyi, and his friend, whose name is yet to be made public, have been reportedly abducted from his farm and taken to an unknown destination.

According to a family source, the abductors stormed Oluyi’s farm around 11:00 p.m. on March 11, 2025, shooting sporadically into the air.

The gunmen then gained entry into Oluyi’s compound and forcefully took the farm owner, Wale Oluyi, and his friend to an unknown location.

Reports claim that the incident has been reported to the nearest police station, and the Police Area Commander has been informed.

However, there has been no official word from the Ondo State Police Command regarding the incident.

While the reason for there kidnapping remains unclear, family members stated that the abductors have yet to contact the family to make any demands.

This incident comes on the heels of the release of nine land surveyors who were abducted at Oba Ile after the payment of a ransom, as well as reports of an alleged herdsmen attack in the state, which the Ondo State Government has debunked as false and misleading.
