BREAKING: Paul Pogba’s wife reacts after World Cup winner bags 4-year doping ban

Zulay Pogba is standing beside her husband in light of the latest doping ban controversy.

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been handed a four-year ban after testing positive for DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone), a banned substance, in August.

The decision, made by Italy’s National Anti-Doping Tribunal (TNA), follows the standard length of suspension outlined by the World Anti-Doping Code (WADA).

Following the verdict, Pogba expressed his shock and disappointment with a statement that read:

“I have today been informed of the Tribunale Nazionale Antidoping’s decision and believe that the verdict is incorrect.

“I am sad, shocked and heartbroken that everything I have built in my professional playing career has been taken away from me.

“When I am free of legal restrictions the full story will become clear, but l have never knowingly or deliberately taken any supplements that violate anti-doping regulations.

“As a professional athlete I would never do anything to enhance my performance by using banned substances and have never disrespected or cheated fellow athletes and supporters of any of the teams I have played for, or against.

“As a consequence of the decision announced today I will appeal this before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.”

The ban, effective from the date of Pogba’s initial positive test, extends until August 2027, casting uncertainty over the continuation of his career, as he will be 34 years old when the ban concludes.

Despite the setback, Pogba revealed that intends to appeal the decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he aims to clear his name and share his side of the story.

While Pogba and his family navigate the legal proceedings and await the outcome of the appeal, the footballing world awaits further developments, with Juventus yet to comment on the latest ruling.
