BREAKING: PDP chieftain dies at 68

Hajia Muslimat Ibrahim Jimba, a former women leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, has died at the age of 68.

Her passing was confirmed by the PDP’s State Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Olusola Adewara.

The party expressed deep sorrow over her death, noting that she played an important role in shaping its political direction.

Jimba was known for her dedication to women’s rights, education, and empowerment.

Throughout her political career, she worked to ensure that women had a voice in governance and society.

She was also recognized for her leadership skills and contributions to democracy in Kwara State.

The PDP described her as a committed politician and an advocate for progress.

Her humility and dedication earned her the respect of many within and outside the party.

Condolences have poured in from party members, community leaders, and loved ones.

The PDP extended sympathies to her family, the Jimba community, and all those mourning her loss.

Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki took to his official Facebook page to mourn the party leader.

He wrote:

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Alhaja Muslimat Ibrahim Jimba, fondly called ‘Iyan Kwara’. She was a sacrificial mother, a committed leader, and a devoted member of our political family who tirelessly championed justice, equality, and women’s rights.

“Her selfless dedication to the development of Kwara State and to the Peoples Democratic Party will never be forgotten.

“My family and I extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and the entire Kwara PDP. May Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus. Ameen.”
