The Peoples Democratic Party has appointed Umar Damagum as its new acting national chairman.
The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party announced the appointment following the suspension of the embattled Iyorchia Ayu, according to Channels Television.
The party announced the appointment of Umar Damagum, to oversee the affairs of the party in acting capacity pending the outcome of the litigation against Ayu.
