BREAKING: Peter Obi donates N10 million to support training of nurses in Anambra varsity

The 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party, Peter Obi has donated the sum of N10 million to support the training of nurses at the Tansian University of Nursing in Oba, Anambra State.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra State said the financial donation was made in line with his committment to advancing healthcare and quality education in Nigeria.

In a post made on X, Obi said he visited the institution on Sunday, March 16.

He also shared the post alongside photos he took with students and management of the institution.

According to Obi, investing in education is not just an expenditure but a key investment in the nation’s future.

He wrote, “As I have consistently emphasized, our nation’s development priorities must be anchored on measurable indices—healthcare, education, and poverty alleviation.

“My interaction with the students was enlightening, and I donated N10 million to support the institution’s mission of training well-qualified healthcare professionals,” he added.

He further restated his commitment to supporting institutions such as the Tansian University of Nursing to strengthen their efforts in building a healthier, more educated society and lifting people out of poverty.
