Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi has dismissed rumours about his arrest.
In a tweet on Wednesday evening, the former Anambra governor confirmed being at his Onitsha residence while labeling the reports as baseless fabrications.
The rumours emerged amid a dispute between Obi and Felix Morka, a prominent figure in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), involving allegations of death threats.
Obi addressed the false arrest claim via his social media, urging his supporters to disregard the misinformation.
He also recalled a similar incident in 2024, where he was falsely accused of being detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) while in Rwanda.
According to Obi, these repeated falsehoods aim to distract the public from pressing national issues.
