BREAKING: Peter Obi Urges Tinubu to Act on Inflation, Visit All 36 States to Understand Citizens’ Plight

Labour Party Leader, Peter Obi has challenged President Bola Tinubu to explain to Nigerians the deliberate steps he intends to take to reduce inflation to 15 percent in the New Year from the current 34.6percent and not just engage in rhetoric.

He also wants the president to visit each of Nigeria’s 36 states for two days to give him the opportunity to better understand the dire economic and security situation that citizens are in the country.

Obi made the assertion at his first media briefing for the year in Abuja where he also lamented that many Nigerians have become refugees and exiles in their own country.

The Labour Party Leader while offering alternative solutions to tackle Nigeria’s governance challenges including on the tax reforms bills currently before the National Assembly also lamented the hounding of opposition figures in the country while noting that the climate for opposition politics has become toxic.
