Gabriel Dawang, a member of the Plateau State House of Assembly who represents Pankshin North, was elected Speaker on Tuesday.
Following the resignations of Gwottaon Fom, the deputy speaker, and Moses Sule, the former speaker, he emerged.
Additionally, Timothy Dantong, who represents the Riyom constituency, was elected as the Assembly’s next deputy speaker.
