On 15th January 2025, Operatives of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad in Enugwu Ukwu, Anambra State, arrested three suspected car thieves.
According to a statement from the Command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the suspects were intercepted during a morning patrol.
Ikenga revealed that the three suspects were found inside a black Lexus 330 SUV without a licence plate at Kwata Junction, Awka.
“During interrogation, the suspects—Ifesinachi Okonkwo, 22, Chisom Okafor, 20, and Oderah Ebenezer, 20— confessed to stealing the vehicle from Isuaniocha Village in Awka North. They are members of the same criminal gang that has been terrorising innocent citizens in Awka.
“In light of this, the Command invites anyone who may be seeking the stolen vehicle, particularly residents of Isuaniocha, to visit the office of the Police Public Relations Officer in Awka with valid proof of ownership for verification and possible collection.”
