BREAKING: Police Begin Manhunt To Rescue Woman, 73, Kidnapped On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Police operatives have began manhunt to rescue a 73-year old woman, Mrs. Awa Abdullai, who was allegedly kidnapped on 1st September, 2023, by unknown gunmen along Lagos- Ibadan Expressway, Alausa, Ikeja area of Lagos State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the kidnapped victim was said to be returning from the Friday Jumaat prayer progamme organized weekly by NASFAT, Alausa- Ikeja. Lagos State.

The elderly woman, Mrs. Abdullai, while returning from the prayers at NASFAT, Alausa, was attacked by the unknown gunmen and allegedly kidnapped to an unknown destination.
The victim has remained in captivity since the ugly incident was reported to the Police, who are currently on the trail of the alleged kidnappers now at large.
There has been serious concerns about the health of the victim as no demands or conditions has been made by the alleged kidnappers for her release.
The victim is suspected to have been targeted due to the lingering crises in connection with the traditional stool of Ugiagba-Elele Kingdom in Edo State following the demise of their traditional ruler, who was her late husband.
Her kidnap is believed to have been masterminded by the Ugiagba-Elele Kingdom kinsmen in order to put pressure and force her son, Prince Isah Abdullai, to return home and take up the throne left behind by the late king (his father), who passed on 4th June, 2021.

Since the late King passed on, the throne had remained unoccupied due to Isah’s rejection over the alleged dreaded diabolical traditional conditions attached to it.

The Police investigation is said to include this case of kidnapping the aged mother of Isah and its possible connection with other reported cases of threat to life and property, which the Police are still investigating with their kinsmen at Ugiagba-Elele Kingdom as the prime suspects in the case of threat to life and property reported by Mr. Isah.

The Police intelligence report revealed that the son of the kidnapped woman, Isah and his family (wife and kids), are nowhere to be found as at the time of filing this report.
