Several officers have been dismissed by the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force over cases of murder, professional misconduct like extortion among others.
A police wireless message issued on January 23, 2025, said disciplinary measures were taken against 19 officers who were dismissed, 24 officers who were demoted among many others for different offences.
However, a Deputy Commissioner of Police Coker Olaleka James has also been exonerated after investigations by the panel cleared him of allegations against him.
