The cousin alleged that when the matter was reported at the Samgo Divisional Headquarters of the command, the policemen allegedly asked his aunt to pay N10,000 to file the case and another N30,000 to track the phone of the customer who went away with the girl.

However, while giving an update on the issue today, Adejobi said the policemen involved are to face disciplinary action, adding that their act was inhuman and unprofessional.

He wrote: “The Ogun State Police Command has been on the case. The girl will be found. Also, the policemen who demanded money before they could attend to the case have been arrested and kept in detention for disciplinary action.

“We have condemned such an act, and we won’t tolerate it. It’s inhuman, apathetic and unprofessional. We urge the family of the victim to work with the police on the case.”
